Kilomill Privacy

Privacy

Short version: your images are processed on your own device and are never uploaded. Kilomill sets no cookies, has no accounts or ads, and keeps image processing local. Cloudflare counts page visits and loading speed, as described below.

Your images

When you add an image, your browser reads the file from your device into this tab. All decoding, cropping, resizing and compressing happens in JavaScript and WebAssembly running in the tab. The results are held in memory and saved to your device only when you click Download. Nothing about your images (not the files, not their names, not thumbnails) is sent to Kilomill or anyone else. Closing or reloading the tab discards everything.

Check it yourself

  1. Open your browser’s developer tools (F12, or ⌥⌘I on a Mac) and select the Network tab.
  2. Add an image and wait for the result.
  3. You will see the page’s own code files (JavaScript and .wasm encoders) being downloaded from this site the first time, and the Cloudflare statistics beacon described below (beacon.min.js and a small report to /cdn-cgi/rum), but no request that sends your image anywhere. You can also disconnect from the internet after the encoders have loaded and keep working.

What the site does not do

  • No cookies and no local storage set by Kilomill.
  • No advertising and no Google Analytics. The only statistics are Cloudflare Web Analytics, described below.
  • No sign-up, accounts or email collection.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical data of each request (such as IP address, requested page and browser type) to deliver the pages and protect the service; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy. These requests never contain your images.

Visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

On kilomill.pixdesk.cc, Cloudflare adds its Web Analytics script (static.cloudflareinsights.com/beacon.min.js) to each page. When a page loads and when you leave it, the script sends page-view and loading-speed measurements to /cdn-cgi/rum on this domain. Cloudflare says the service uses no cookies or local storage and does not fingerprint visitors, including by IP address (Cloudflare Web Analytics, FAQ, read 21 October 2026). The report is about the page, not your work: it does not contain your images, their names, thumbnails or results.
