How to convert TIFF to JPG
- Add the TIFF files (.tif or .tiff). Large scans are fine: up to 100 megapixels and 512 MB per file.
- Choose quality or a KB limit. Quality 85 keeps scanned text crisp; a target size is useful for upload forms.
- Scanned documents with text: choose PNG instead of JPG under Output format to keep letters crisp, or quality 90 for JPG.

JPG or PNG for a TIFF?
For photos and colour scans, JPG is many times smaller with no visible difference at quality 80–90. For black-and-white documents, line drawings or images that need transparency, choose PNG under Output format: it is lossless and keeps text edges perfectly sharp. To send several scanned pages as one file, choose PDF instead.
Measured with Kilomill
A 12.0 MB uncompressed TIFF of 2,000 × 2,000 pixels became an 83.5 KB JPG at quality 82, small enough for any upload form.
