How to convert SVG to PNG at a specific size
- Add the SVG files. Without a size setting, each is drawn at its own width and height (or 1024 px when the SVG does not say).
- Set the size under Dimensions: “Longest side” 1024 px for a large logo, or an exact width × height. The SVG is drawn at that size directly, so it stays sharp even when enlarged.
- Download the PNGs. Transparency is kept; choose JPG instead if you need a solid background.
What carries over from the SVG
- Shapes, colours, gradients and text are drawn by your browser exactly as it shows the SVG.
- Linked files are not loaded: external images, web fonts and stylesheets the SVG refers to are left out (text falls back to an installed font). Embed fonts as paths, or embed images, before converting.
- Scripts and animation do not run; the PNG shows the first, static state.
Common sizes
| Use | Size |
|---|---|
| Social media profile picture | 400 × 400 px or larger |
| Logo on a website | 2× the displayed width, e.g. 400 px for a 200 px slot |
| App or favicon source | 512 × 512 px (then PNG to ICO) |
| Print at 300 DPI | width in inches × 300 |
Measured with Kilomill
A 196-byte SVG logo drawn with the longest side set to 1,024 px gave a 7.5 KB PNG with crisp edges; drawing the same SVG at 64 px and enlarging it would have been blurry.
